LaMarche Baseball Academy

Professional Skill developmnet for both baseball & life.

LBA MISSION

LaMarche Baseball Academy merges skill development with education.

Throughout a player’s career - and life - peaks and valleys are inescapable. These are the experiences that have groomed Will LaMarche.

——

During this ‘journey,’ challenges are encountered that require skills.

——

The LBA mission is not to prevent these inevitable challenges - but to accept, learn and grow from them.

——

LaMarche Baseball Academy focuses on its mission by helping players develop two important skills for navigating baseball & life:

The ability to ‘build new skills’ and to ‘’associate fun with competition.”

Will lamarche

Will LaMarche, retired professional pitcher after a 7 year career with the Detroit Tigers & SF Giants (13’- 19’), has coached & mentored over 500 young players since beginning in the off season of 2017. Will played for the 2013 #1 ranked baseball program - and College World Series runner up - Louisiana State University, alongside teammates Alex Bregman and Aaron Nola. Enduring 4 surgeries throughout his playing career, Will was forced to learn how to utilize his body in order to relieve stress from his throwing arm - rewarding him with a fastball that breached the 100mph milestone. These physical and emotional skills, along with his motto of "associating fun with competition," is the basic foundation Will comes from in every interaction when working with kids. Will is a teacher at Mission Hills Elementary School in Castro Valley and also runs two after school programs focused on building leadership skills through sports & competition. He also collaborates with local communities and directs single-day baseball/sport events.

Stephen PISCOTTY

Stephen Piscotty, active as one of 800 people in the world competing at the Major League Baseball level, is in his 8th season in the Big Leagues. Stephen is constantly searching for different ways he can give back to the game – and LaMarche Baseball is honored to be a part of his vision in continuing that goal in the Fall.

The world of value Stephen provides extends far past his Major League skill set. At LaMarche Baseball Academy, we have access to arguably MLB’s most courageous player of our generation.
